Al Marhabani is one of the best and most known places in Dubai that serves authentic Yemeni & Saudi dishes... most famously for their Mandi & Kabsa. And rightly so!
You are welcomed with friendly service, and taken to private rooms that are decorated in traditional style that will give you the look & feel of a tent... You can choose to sit on the table, but you will miss the fun.
We ordered the Mutton Kabsa, with tomato shata on the side. One plate is enough for 2. Prior to the arrival of the food (which hardly takes time), a picnic spread was placed on the floor, and we got a garden salad platter. Food came right after that. The meat was cooked to perfection, and placed over colorful rice.
To enjoy the authenticity of the experience, you are expected to eat with your hands, but if that's not your forte, you can ask for cutlery. No one will judge you :)
I would highly recommend this place for it's authenticity, and will usually bring my overseas friends to experience one of the oldest restaurants in Dubai in traditional style.
